The Catechesis of the Good Shepherd is a fully engaging montessori approach to faith formation program which especially honors the spiritual values of childhood and wishes to nurture the formation of a consciousness which is oriented to the construction of the history of salvation in justice and solidarity.
Catechesis has given rise to a type of Christian who is conscious of his faith and acts consistently with it in his life. In such Christians this catechesis has encouraged: – a new and vital experience of God as merciful Father; – a more profound rediscovery of Jesus Christ, not only in his divinity but also in his humanity; – a sense of co-responsibility on the part of all for the mission of the Church in the world; – and a raising of consciousness with regard to the social obligations of the faith.
We will be using both Sophia Institute Spirit of Truth resources and Catechesis of the Good Shepherd.
Level 1: Ages 3 to Kindergarten. They will meet Sunday mornings during the 9:00 AM mass.
Level 2: Grades 1 to 3. They will meet Sundays 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM. Grades 2 and 3 will also meet some Thursdays 4:15 PM to 5:15 PM for sacramental prep.
Level 3: Grades 4 to 8. They will meet Sundays 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM
There is also a Sophia Institute Spirit of Truth homeschool option or for others who prefer it for Grades 1 to 8.Leads students into a meaningful encounter with Scripture and helps them to develop a sense of wonder through sacred art and vivid stories of the saints. With interdisciplinary activities that show why faith matters.
A full year of varied and engaging lessons, that capture students' imaginations while improving knowledge retention. All sacred art included in the books is available in Sophia Institute's digital art library.

Reconciliation, Confirmation, and First Holy Communion
The Sacrament of Reconciliation is done for children in the 2nd grade. They will have classes to prepare in addition to the ongoing Faith Formation classes on Sundays. Please register your child below and view the schedule of classes.
